Tahiti looks nice

People keep asking us, “Why Tahiti?”

And honestly… fair question.

Because it wasn’t the original plan. Our grand idea for Year One of our “10 Countries in 10 Years” adventure was New York- where we first met. 

But then came last year. Let’s just say it wasn’t our finest. A bit of a rough patch, life threw some lemons… and we were too tired to make lemonade.

Enter our very wise friend who said, “Why would you go somewhere so hectic after the year you’ve had? Plus, with the new U.S. government, who knows what kind of reality show you’ll be stepping into?”

She had a point. 

We asked ourselves: Where could we go that’s relaxed, has a completely different culture, some great golf courses for Rowdy, and ideally, champagne for me? 

Somewhere we can immerse ourselves in a community and culture and still be connected with what’s going on at home. 

And the answer was simple! Tahiti sounds nice! 

We can get an airbnb and live like a Tahitian and not a tourist.

After carefully weighing all the pros and cons for maybe 30 seconds or so, We’re going to Tahiti!

So here we are — swapping crazy traffic for ocean breezes, concrete jungles for tropical ones, and chaos for coconuts. 

Let the adventure begin.
